Two-Component Epoxy Primer is a resin-and-hardener primer used on mechanically prepared concrete before epoxy or compatible resin flooring systems. It helps balance surface absorption and create a controlled bonding layer for the subsequent coat. Concrete strength and moisture, surface profile, mixing ratio, pot life, coverage, application temperature, overcoating interval and any sand broadcast requirement must be confirmed from the current technical data before work begins.
Selection and technical review
Provide the concrete or screed type, strength, moisture measurement, surface profile, existing finish and planned top layer. Primers, moisture barriers and levelling products do not perform the same function. Verify application limits, thickness, consumption and recoating intervals against the current TDS/SDS for the supplied product.
Application and handover preparation
Assess weak layers, contamination and old residues using an appropriate method; detail cracks, joints and active water problems separately. Record preparation checks, the trial area, batch and application conditions. Determine next-coat timing and compatibility from the technical system instructions.
