New Season Field Technologies

Next-generation solutions that improve field durability and player performance.

We have compiled the innovations standing out in field projects this season. Systems that bring meaningful improvements in drainage, surface durability and lighting performance are now more widespread; with the right design, a field becomes both longer-lasting and playable in all weather.

Drainage and layered surface

A field's performance is largely decided beneath the surface. When the gradient, the compacted base and a highly permeable drainage layer are built correctly, water drains without pooling even in wet weather. In RHB Grass's layered surface architecture, the artificial turf fibre, the elastic shock pad (EPDM/PU), the drainage layer and the base work together.

Hybrid and synthetic turf options

On intensively used pitches, hybrid systems combine the playing feel of natural grass with the durability of synthetic fibre. Fully synthetic FIFA Quality and ITF approved turf suits projects targeting low maintenance and high annual play hours.

  • Ball bounce and foot grip: professional play standard, stable all season.
  • UV and abrasion resistance: long life against colour fading and fibre fatigue.
  • LED lighting: lower energy use, even light distribution and fewer shadows.

When the right materials and lighting are chosen at the start of the project, the field keeps its day-one performance for years and lowers operating costs. For your field project, get in touch with us.
